What is woven tape?
Woven tape carries a repeating design along a continuous textile strip. It can be used as a visible garment trim or incorporated into accessories. The lettering and motifs are created in the weave rather than printed onto the surface.
We manufacture woven tapes in-house. Tell us where the tape will be used so width, construction and handling can be considered together.
Specify the repeat
State the required tape width and the distance between repeating logos or motifs. Include direction, spacing and any text that must remain upright after the tape is applied.
A repeated design should be checked across a length of tape, not only as a single isolated logo. Explain how the repeat should align with seams, garment panels or cut pieces.
Material and appearance
Yarn, construction, colour contrast and the finished width all affect the result. Metallic yarns and recycled polyester options require discussion of suitability and supporting material documentation.
The intended hand feel matters when the tape touches the skin or is applied to a flexible garment. Share the receiving material and care requirements before selecting a construction.
